I'm still fuming over the "Lee" pronunciation of Lea in the English version of Days. When I heard it YouTube, I was like.

OMFG.

LAY-AH.

OMFG.

And then they screwed me over.

:/

But oh godddddddddddddd. Cannot wait.

wait, wait they pronounced it "Lee"...?

D: WTF. Did they not even do a basic check of the Katakana? *facepaaaaalm*

Yup.

I don't even know why, because. Well. That should be obvious, because it SHOULD NOT BE LEE.

FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU.

I was so excited, waiting for THAT SCENE in the English after seeing it on YouTube in Japanese, and then.

SCREWED US OVER.

urgh, having listened to it now... idk, even Saix's voice acting just seems really off to me. It sounds really different to KH2.

:/

Now I'm kinda really hoping it will be Lea and Sia, where the cute matching names will get mentioned*, just so it causes problems with the translation >:( THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T DO IT PROPERLY, LOCALISATION TEAM PEOPLE.

*And also because cute matching names! :3

Most of Axel's voice acting is really.... BLAH, too. Like Quinton Flynn just couldn't be bothered or something.

But I totally agree on the cute matching names thing. It would to completely adorable. And other than, like, Isa or something, it's the only other alternative, aye?

I thought that at first too -- it was so completely different to KH2! (I was told it was like that it Re:CoM too... but that never got released outside America so I wouldn't know, would I? *grumbles* >.>)

It took a while, but eventually I got used to it. Ok, mostly because in the scene with Xion at the Mansion, you can hear his voice waver as he says one specific line ;_; yes, I am a total sap... XD

I always liked Sai too, but Isa is good. But the possibility of matching names is just too cute <3~ I will be so disappointed now if it doesn't happen XD

YEAH YEAH like. ONE OF THESE THINGS IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS:

Marluxia = maruusha = "marloosha"
Xion = shion = "shion"
Lea = ria = "lee"

wtfff

Urgh what the hell? Look, I don't know jack about Japanese, but I actually in fact for real know a Japanese girl named Lee, and that is apparently the English equivalent of her Japanese name, Rii. So there.

I'm not saying Lee/Rii isn't Japanese, I'm just saying that the Lea in KH is pronounced 'ria' in Japanese. This is like if people called your friend Rii 'Leah' as the English equivalent... it doesn't match the same, does it?

Like... the pronounciation of Marluxia/"marloosha" matches in English and Japanese, and so does Xion/"shion". Those past examples made me so sure that Lea would match as "leah" before the English version came out...

No, I know what you mean. I was trying to give a... counterexample? Because it would weird if I started calling her Lee-ah, people would wonder where the 'a' came from? So if the Japanese name is 'Ria' and we somehow pronounce it as 'Lee', where did the 'a' go?

Whoever did the translation was obviously afraid of people reading stuff into the name ('cause you know, we do). Whore.

Ohh I see I see! ♥ Sorry!

The 'a' is off playing with the Roxas of yore in the land of 'Things that got Fucked by Days'.

Teeechnically they should have pronounced it 'Lee-ah'. In Japanese, it's Ri-a, like... the ree in reed, and the a in ask. (Arrgh well that's how you say those words in my accent anyway!! idk!!)

I ALSO FUMEY ://////
